The Adansi Journey
Adansi Oil Mills is a private limited liability Company incorporated on 03/09/80 with the objective of processing palm fruits (Fresh fruit Bunches) into palm oil for local consumption and for export.
It commenced business in 1987 on a 1.00tonne/hr (1.00tn/hr) schedule as per Stork Amsterdam specification. It is currently a 3.000tonne/hr (3.00tn/hr) processing mill strategically located at Dompoase – Adansi in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region and some 40km away from the Regional Capital, Kumasi.
The facility can be upgraded to a 5.000Tn/Hr mill, and will need an additional sterilizer (civil work already in place) and an upgrade of the press system.
Subject to the availability of funds for the procurement of a Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) expeller and the installation of same, the Company will produce PKO as value addition to the Palm Kernel (PK) produced.
The Company is presently embarking on the rehabilitation of some of its machinery and equipment and will need some financial assistance to complete the programme.
