The Ghana Oil Palm Industry
Palm oil is the most consumed of all the oils in Ghana. Apart from its industrial and domestic uses, its production is a major source of income to oil palm farmers and processors nationwide.
Available information indicates that Ghana has a demand of 240,000 tonnes of CPO annually, actual annual production level of 100,000 tonnes, leaving an annual deficit of 140,000 tonnes.
